Raised in a small town outside of Vancouver, the 17 year old started producing music in her bedroom. With the help of friends across seas, she progressed from soundcloud to Spotify, and has released two extended play albums and one single. She also collaborated with her friend, audente, to create a song reaching over 3000 streams on Spotify. Moonetta plans to release another ep this month titled "iwouldvetoldyouthen.". 


 

Moonetta’s style is heavily derived from pop sensation, Ariana Grande. Specifically the choirs Ariana includes in the background of her songs. Moonetta has developed her own style dabbling in acoustic and pop. Her lyrics are what makes moonetta’s songs compelling. She writes about a breakup, and then about loved ones. Listeners never know what her next song is gonna be about. 


 

In the future, Moonetta hopes to expand her reach to recording her music in a professional studio, alongside well-known producers and artists. She has goals to pursue her passion, not for the money, but for the reactions she receives when people hear her music for the first time.

This ep, unlike her previous, is much more personal. Moonetta has a tendency to write about things she has never experienced, whereas with these songs, each song has a deep connection. Moonetta prefers to keep those connections a secret, however the track "zoe's song" does share a little more than the rest. The ep is actually a collection of unfinished songs that had potential, due to the struggles of inspiration Moonetta found herself in.
